Professor WANG Da
Postdoctoral fellow of the Institute of Financial Research of the People's Bank of China; Professor and doctoral supervisor; Deputy Dean of the School of Economics of Jilin University, Deputy Dean of the Institute of National Development and Security Studies, Deputy Director of the Institute of American Studies (National Regional Research Center for the Ministry of Education), Director of Financial Development and Security Research Center; Deputy Secretary-General of the American Economic Association of China; Director of the China Society for World Economics.
He has presided over a number of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education's research start-up fund for overseas returnees, general projects of China Postdoctoral Fund, and special research projects of the National Development and Reform Commission. He has published more than 50 papers in mainstream academic journals such as "Financial Research", "International Financial Research", "World Economic Research", "International Economic Review", "Marxist Research" and "Modern International Relations", and published "American Internet Finance and Big Data Regulatory Research" and other monographs.
In 2008, he was invited by the Nobel Prize Committee at the Economics Nobel Laureate Conference; in 2009, he was awarded the American "Committee-100" Award for Excellence; in 2011, he was awarded the German "Federal Chancellor's Award" and visited Kiel institute for world economic research. As a visiting scholar, he met with German President Gauck and former Chancellor Angela Merkel during the period; in 2017, he accompanied Vice Premier Liu Yandong to visit South Africa; In June 2020, he went to the Paul Nietzsche Institute for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University to engage in academic research as “Fulbright Visiting Scholar”.
